Introducing GoFan, the complete digital ticketing platform for high schools

This week, in partnership with Huddle, Inc., we helped launch GoFAN – an innovative, digital ticketing solution for K-12 educational institutions. Huddle, Inc. has a successful 15-year track record serving Athletic Directors – in part, by providing printed tickets to school events. With the GoFan app, fans can now purchase tickets via the web and smartphone (app available on iOS and Android). This ticketing platform is a game-changer, allowing High School Athletic Directors to manage all aspects of sporting events, including selling tickets, redeeming tickets, and reporting at the end of the event.

GoFan is the complete ticketing solution for high schools
Fans at the Milton High School vs. Walton High School game on October 23rd were the first to try GoFan ticketing. Sports fans are directed from their high school website to the event schedule, with the ability to select an event and purchase tickets using a credit card. Tickets can be emailed and printed (by PDF) – or can be scanned from the app through a QR code. No more long lines to get into high school sporting events – it’s just a quick scan, and you’re off to the concession stands. The first round of participating Georgia High Schools are Milton High School (miltoneaglesfootball.com), North Gwinnett High School (ngfootball.org), and South Forsyth High School (southforsythfootball.com).

In only ten weeks, Digital Scientists developed the ticketing solution from concept to product under their MVP Program (minimum viable product). Leveraging new technology like Firebase, AngularJS, and the Ionic Platform, the application is designed to function for three key users: Customer, Front Gate and Athletic Director. The fans order tickets from the web or smartphones, and the ticket takers use GoFan to read ticket QR codes using its scanning module with secure, real-time validation. The Front Gate can scan tickets while also acting as credit card payment processor with Stripe payment integration, which runs directly on the ticket takers’ own mobile devices. Athletic Directors are able to manage the event with reconciliation reporting from GoFAN. Huddle, Inc. and Digital Scientists have created the only complete solution for managing digital and physical tickets in High School sports.
